A better-fitting suit, made personal

We adapt our suit pattern around your measurements, posture and style. You choose the fabric, cut and finishing details, and we help you create a suit that feels comfortable, looks balanced and reflects how you want to be seen.

There is no pressure to fit a traditional idea of womenswear or menswear. The starting point is you.

Designed for real bodies and individual style

Does the jacket fit at the shoulders but pull somewhere else? Do the trousers fit at the waist but feel wrong through the hip or leg? Made-to-measure means you no longer have to choose which fit problem to live with.

Made-to-measure allows us to adjust key proportions and create a more balanced silhouette. Unlike many made-to-measure tailors, we consider your posture as well as your measurements. This allows us to adapt the pattern to balance your silhouette, so your clothes fit well and help you look your best.

Once your individually adjusted pattern has been created, ordering additional pieces becomes simple. Choose a new fabric and we can use your saved pattern to create another garment with the fit already established. The design does not have to stay the same. You can change the pockets, cloth and other details to move from a business suit to a smart-casual jacket and trousers. This makes made-to-measure particularly useful when time matters or you want to build a coordinated wardrobe.

You can personalise:

  • Jacket length, shape and structure
  • Half-canvas or full floating canvas construction
  • Trouser rise, width and taper
  • Lapel style and width
  • Buttons, pockets, vents and stitching
  • Cloth, colour and pattern
  • Linings and discreet personal details

Made-to-measure or bespoke?

Both services create a suit for you, but they begin differently.

Made-to-measure begins with our in-house suit pattern block. We identify where a standard-size suit does and does not fit, then adjust the pattern around your measurements, body shape and posture. This helps us create a balanced silhouette while personalising both the style and fit. Made-to-measure usually requires one fitting after your initial consultation.

Bespoke begins with an individual paper pattern drafted entirely from scratch. It gives you the freedom to create any suitable design or style and can accommodate all body shapes and sizes. We create a toile mock-up to refine the fit and styling before cutting your chosen fabric. Bespoke usually involves more fittings.

If you are unsure, you do not need to decide before visiting. Tell us what you want to achieve, your timeframe and your priorities, and we will recommend the most suitable route.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is made-to-measure suitable for different body shapes?

Yes. It allows many important adjustments to standard proportions. If the changes you need go beyond the limits of the base pattern, we will explain this honestly and may recommend bespoke instead.

Can I choose a masculine cut without buying a men’s off-the-peg suit?

Yes. We focus on the silhouette you want rather than assigning a style to your gender. We will help adapt the cut so it sits well on your individual proportions.

What should I bring to my consultation?

You can bring reference images, a garment you like or the shoes you expect to wear. None of these are essential. Your ideas and preferences are enough to begin.

What if I am nervous about being measured?

Please tell us. We will explain what is needed, move at a pace that feels comfortable and respect any boundaries you share with us. ---

Do I need an appointment?

Yes — consultations and fittings are by appointment at our Shoreditch studio, 25a Pitfield Street, London N1 6HB, so we can give you our full attention in a relaxed, private setting. Call 020 7250 3569 or use the contact page to arrange a time.

Can I bring a partner or friend to my appointment?

Of course. Many clients bring a partner, friend or family member for company or a second opinion. Your appointment is your space — bring whoever helps you feel comfortable.

What should I bring with me?

Only yourself, if you like. Reference images, a favourite garment or the shoes you plan to wear are all helpful, but none are required — the consultation is designed to find the right direction together.
