Non-Binary Suits
Non-binary style is not a single look. It can be masculine, feminine, androgynous, fluid, expressive, understated or entirely outside those descriptions.
Book an AppointmentA suit does not need a gender. It needs to feel like yours.
At Orhan London Tailoring, we do not begin by deciding which department, pattern or convention you belong in. We begin by listening. Together, we create a suit around your proportions, preferences and the way you want to move through the world.
Clothes that celebrate who you are
A tuxedo that falls into a full-length velvet gown. A sweeping skirt finished with tailored lapels. When clothing is made for you, the familiar categories stop being rules and become a palette.
Tailoring puts every proportion in your hands. We shape the relationship between shoulder, chest, waist, hip, rise and length around your intentions, and you choose what to emphasise, soften, balance or leave neutral. The silhouette is yours to compose.
You never need to explain or defend your identity to ask for the clothes you want.
Androgynous suits and silhouettes defined in your own language
Terms such as masculine, feminine and androgynous can be helpful, but they do not mean exactly the same thing to everyone. We use visual references, practical questions and fitting-room conversation to understand what they mean to you.
Your design might include:
- Strong or softened shoulder structure
- A straight, shaped, cropped or longline jacket
- A higher, lower or individually balanced button position
- Tapered, straight, wide or draped trousers
- Details borrowed freely from different tailoring traditions
- Adaptations for the underlayers or garments you plan to wear
A fitting experience built on respect
Being measured or talking about fit can feel vulnerable, especially if previous clothing experiences have involved judgement, dysphoria or repeated misunderstanding. You can tell us what would help you feel more at ease.
We explain each step, use the name and pronouns you give us and respect the boundaries you share. If a word, body area or part of the fitting makes you uncomfortable, tell us. You stay in control of every decision.
Non-binary and gender-neutral wedding outfits
If you are looking for a non-binary wedding outfit, an androgynous wedding outfit or a gender-neutral wedding outfit, we will shape the full look around how you want to feel. Butch and masc styling can be expressed through structure, proportion, fabric and detail, without forcing you into a fixed category.
Made-to-measure or bespoke?
Made-to-measure adjusts an existing pattern and works well when your desired fit and style can be achieved within that structure. Bespoke begins from scratch, offering greater freedom to reshape the silhouette and resolve more complex fitting needs.
Neither choice makes a suit more or less authentic. We will recommend the service that best supports your goals, timeframe and investment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you need to know my gender assigned at birth?
We need accurate information about your current proportions and how you want the garment to fit, not a label that dictates the design. If any health, mobility or body-change information is relevant to comfort or fit, you can share only what is useful.
Can you work with a binder, breast forms, padding or shapewear?
Yes. Where possible, wear or bring the underlayers you expect to use with the finished suit so we can fit accurately. Your privacy and comfort will be respected.
What pronouns will the team use?
We will use the name and pronouns you provide. If we make a mistake, we will correct it. You are welcome to tell us about any language that feels more comfortable when discussing your body or clothing.
I am still exploring my presentation. Do I need to be certain before booking?
No. Clothing can be part of that exploration. You can bring images, try different directions and tell us what feels right or wrong without needing to define yourself first.
Can my suit be altered if my body changes?
Many adjustments may be possible, depending on the construction, seam allowances and nature of the change. If you expect your proportions to change, tell us early so we can discuss timing and design choices honestly. ---
Do I need an appointment?
Yes — consultations and fittings are by appointment at our Shoreditch studio, 25a Pitfield Street, London N1 6HB, so we can give you our full attention in a relaxed, private setting. Call 020 7250 3569 or use the contact page to arrange a time.
Can I bring a partner or friend to my appointment?
Of course. Many clients bring a partner, friend or family member for company or a second opinion. Your appointment is your space — bring whoever helps you feel comfortable.
What should I bring with me?
Only yourself, if you like. Reference images, a favourite garment or the shoes you plan to wear are all helpful, but none are required — the consultation is designed to find the right direction together.
