Specialist Attention to Every Detail

Our team can refine bodices, adjust necklines, reshape sleeves, balance hems, improve support and carefully reposition lace, beading or embellishment. We also consider how the dress works as a whole when standing, sitting, walking and celebrating.

At your final fitting, the dress should feel secure, effortless and entirely yours. All that remains is the excitement of wearing it.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book wedding dress alterations?

As soon as you have your dress. Booking early lets us plan your fittings comfortably, with the final fitting close to the day so the fit reflects you exactly as you will be when you wear it. Call 020 7250 3569 with your date and we will build the schedule around it.

How many fittings will my dress need?

Most gowns are perfected over two to three fittings, depending on the work involved. At each one we refine the fit and check how the dress moves, with a final fitting to confirm everything before the day.

Can you alter lace, beading and embellished gowns?

Yes — this is specialist work we do constantly. Lace, beading and embellishment can be carefully repositioned so the alteration disappears into the original design.

Can you alter a dress bought online, secondhand or a sample size?

Yes. Wherever your dress comes from — a boutique, an online order, a sample sale or another bride — we can reshape it around you. Significant resizing is often possible; we will tell you honestly what can be achieved at your first fitting.

Can you alter a family heirloom or vintage wedding dress?

Yes, with particular care. Ageing fabrics, delicate seams and irreplaceable details shape how we approach the work, and we will talk you through our recommendations before anything begins.

What does a bridal fitting involve?

You will try the dress in our private Shoreditch studio with the support of our female consultants. We listen to your concerns, explain what can be achieved and agree the work with you — you will never be rushed or left uncertain about the next step.

Can you improve the support or comfort of my dress?

Yes. Bodices can be refined, necklines adjusted, sleeves reshaped, hems balanced and internal support improved, so the dress feels secure and effortless when standing, sitting, walking and celebrating.

Do you alter couture and designer pieces outside of weddings?

Yes — our couture alteration service covers designer eveningwear, occasion pieces and fine tailoring from any house, held to the same standards as our bridal work.

What should I bring to my fittings?

Bring the shoes and underpinnings you plan to wear on the day — hem lengths, proportions and support are all set around them. If your accessories matter to the look, bring those too.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes — bridal and couture fittings are by appointment at 25a Pitfield Street, Shoreditch, London N1 6HB, so you have the studio and our full attention to yourself. Telephone 020 7250 3569.
