From First Idea to Final Reveal

At Orhan, the process is personal, collaborative and carefully guided. Our female consultants will be beside you at every stage, making each decision clear and allowing the excitement to build as your garment comes to life.

Your Consultation

We begin with a private conversation in our Shoreditch studio. Tell us what you need, what inspires you and how you want to feel. There is no need to arrive with a complete design.

Discovering the Design

Together, we define the silhouette, proportion and character of your garment. You will explore fabrics, colours, linings and finishing details chosen around your needs.

Your Measurements

We take detailed measurements and observe posture, balance and movement. This allows us to create a garment that works with your body rather than relying on standard sizing.

The First Fitting

This is the first exciting glimpse of your garment taking shape. We assess the balance, length and silhouette, then identify the refinements that will bring it closer to the final vision.

Refinement

At the next fitting, the character of the garment becomes clearer. We perfect comfort and movement, review the details and make any final adjustments.

The Final Reveal

Your garment is finished, pressed and ready to wear. We complete a final check and offer guidance on styling and care.

The idea you arrived with is now yours to take home. Beautifully made, precisely fitted and created for no one else.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the whole process take?

It varies with the garment and the fittings involved — we will give you an honest timeline at your consultation, and plan around any fixed date you have.

Do I need to know what I want before I start?

No. The process is designed to find the answer with you — many of the best commissions begin as half-formed ideas.

What happens at the first consultation?

A private conversation in our Shoreditch studio about what you need, what inspires you and how you want to feel — followed by exploring silhouettes, fabrics and details together.

What if something doesn't feel right at a fitting?

Say so — that is what fittings are for. Every stage exists to refine balance, comfort and movement until the garment feels natural on your body.

What happens after the final reveal?

Your garment is finished, pressed and ready to wear, with guidance on styling and care so it stays beautiful for years.

Is the process different for bespoke?

The rhythm is similar but bespoke begins with an individual pattern drawn from scratch, giving greater freedom over shape and construction — we will recommend the right route at your consultation.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes — consultations and fittings are by appointment at our Shoreditch studio, 25a Pitfield Street, London N1 6HB, so we can give you our full attention. Call 020 7250 3569 to arrange a time.

What should I bring to my consultation?

Only yourself, if you like. Reference photographs, a garment that fits well or fabric ideas are all helpful, but plenty of clients arrive with no fixed idea at all — the consultation is designed to find the right direction together.

How many fittings will I need?

Most garments are refined through two to three fittings. At each one we assess balance, comfort and movement, and you will see the piece take shape around you.

How long will my commission take?

It depends on the garment, the cloth and the fittings involved, so we will give you an honest timeline at your consultation. If you are dressing for a fixed date, tell us when you enquire and we will plan around it.
