Do I need an appointment to visit Orhan London Tailoring?

What happens at my first consultation?
Your first consultation is a private conversation with one of our female consultants about what you need, what inspires you and how you want to feel. There is no need to arrive with a complete design — you might bring a photograph, a favourite garment, a particular fabric or simply an idea.
What is the difference between made to measure and bespoke?
Made to measure adapts a proven pattern to your measurements, preferences and details, while bespoke begins with an individual paper pattern drawn from scratch for your body alone. We offer both for women and will recommend honestly which suits your commission.
How many fittings will I need?
Most garments are refined through two to three fittings. At each one we assess balance, comfort and movement, and you will see the silhouette emerge as the garment takes shape.
Can Orhan create outfits for weddings and special occasions?
Yes — bespoke wedding dresses, bridal suits, bridal separates, mother of the bride outfits and evening wear are all made at the studio, designed around you and the occasion. We also welcome commissions for day dresses, jumpsuits and occasion tailoring.
Do you alter garments that were not made by Orhan?
Yes. Our alteration service covers suits, dresses, coats, jackets, trousers, shirts and occasion wear from any maker, and our bridal and couture alteration service handles wedding dresses and delicate designer pieces with specialist care.
Who will I work with at the studio?
Our female consultants guide every women's commission and fitting, providing a welcoming, discreet environment where you can speak honestly about fit and comfort. Orhan's master tailors cut and construct each garment in Shoreditch.
What should I bring to my consultation?
Only yourself, if you like. Reference photographs, a garment that fits well, fabric ideas or an outfit you want to work around are all helpful, but plenty of clients arrive with no fixed idea at all — your consultation is designed to find the right direction together.
How long does a made to measure or bespoke garment take?
Timings depend on the garment, the cloth and the number of fittings, so we will give you an honest timeline at your consultation. If you are dressing for a wedding or a fixed date, tell us when you enquire and we will plan the fittings around it.
